Can't approve new members in 4.4

I’m having a similar problem. I’m running UM 1.3.36 with WP 4.4.1 as local admin with UM role admin. When I try to approve a pending member I get this message:
You do not have enough permissions to do that.

I am able to do it as a WP super admin.

Can you resolve?

Same Issue-not a multisite install. Just can’t approve member and move on.

Thanks, I did submit it and got a response that solved the problem. I had to install this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-role-editor/

Just to verify this-you are saying that we have to install another plugin to correct Ultimate Member? Would like to avoid installing bloat/unnecessary plugins to avoid site slow down,etc.

Well…I installed and activated that plugin and “Pending Review” is unchanged. Anything else you did to resolve this?
