Can’t Attribute Content to Editor when Deleting User

  • I work on tons of WordPress websites and I’ve never run into this issue before. When trying to delete a user and attributing their content to another user, users with the editor role aren’t shown as an option. I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and changing the theme, but the issue is still there. Haven’t found any posts or questions with this same issue either.

  • Sounds like a bug. Maybe you could create a test user with admin. privileges and assign the content to that? Or elevate an existing editor’s privileges?

    Thank you for the feedback! I submitted a bug report for this to see we can figure out what the issue is. In the meantime, I will most likely update an editor to administrator and attribute the content to them like that.
