  • Same thing here, I updated and the UA is messed up

    Chrome
    PHP 5
    WordPress 4.1.2

    Same problem as everyone else

I just did some testing on my personal WP powered blog (one of the two sites I mentioned in my previous comment).

I removed the latest version of GA by Yoast plugin (5.4.1) and downloaded the SVN 5.4 and 5.3.3 versions from the WordPress Plugin directory page for GA by Yoast. I used the “CleanOptions” plugin to remove any of the plugin’s entries in my “wp-options” DB table so I could install fresh.

First I installed the 5.4 version of the plugin and attempted to authenticate–same problem encountered. No difference. I removed 5.4.

I then installed version 5.3.3 (the last version that worked) and attempted to authenticate and this version failed as well. Same problem seen as with 5.4.1.

So now I’m wondering. Is it possible that Google Analytics changed something and it’s not the plugin that’s at fault? Just pure coincidence or a combination of both? Or maybe the fact that WordPress just had a security update issued (4.1.1 to 4.1.2) had something to do with it?

The bottom line for me is that no version of the plugin works now when 5.3.3 was working fine yesterday.

    Hi there,

    Same issue too:

    – Chrome
    – Wp 4.1.2
    – PHP 5.4

…sorry to rxtend the list without solution !

    ??

Authenticate with Google Account is still not working for me.. Manual does work.

If it helps, here’s my Yoast Google Analytics Debug info…

Downloaded plugin today…. Will Not authenticate.

When I click on the authenticate button, the pop up comes up, I select the google account associated with my analytics and the then accept the terms. After I copy and paste the code back on my site, and save it says “Settings Saved”. As soon as I click elsewhere (anywhere) in my WP Dashboard, I get the pop up telling me I need to configure my Google Analytics settings.

I’ve done this at least a dozen times, it will not authenticate.
Tried this on Firefox and on Safari 8.0.5 on OS X Yosemite.

Searching for another option besides Yoast…

Updated to 5.4.1 and still doesn’t work. Oh well.

    Same issue….

Same here. Happened after the recent update. Seems every time an update is made the re-authenticate issue reappears.

    Version 5.4.1 works for me.

At first nothing seemed to have changed but after about 15 minutes the dashboard loaded properly.

    Thanks!

Plugin update stopped my site from loading any content. Disabled plugin and all working fine.

    Not working here either!

WordPress 4.1.2, Google Analytics by Yoast Version 5.4.1

Not working, even after updating to version 5.4.1 of the plugin.
    Using WordPress 4.1.2

    Tested in:

    • Firefox 34.0.5
    • Chrome 42.0.2311.90 m
    • Opera 28.0.1750.51
    • Could we downgrade to a previous, functional version?

As all said before. Even CSS seems broken in Chrome. Layout is a mess. FF displays the page nicely formatted. Tabs on the pages are no tabs. Nothing happens. Admin screens keep on asking to configure Analytics.
I’m going t odisable the plugin for now… Bad job guys!
