• Hi,
based on the FAQ info that it should work I tried to install Webp Express on a Windows IIS Server. The following errors rised:

‘WebP Express could not regenerate the rewrite rules
You need to change some permissions. Head to the settings page and try to save the settings there (it will provide more information about the problem)
Rewrite rules were saved to the following files:

    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress-files/wp-content/uploads/.htaccess (uploads)
    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress-files/wp-content/themes/.htaccess (themes)
Failed writing rewrite rules to the following files:

    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress-files/wp-content/webp-express/webp-images/.htaccess (cache)
You need to change the file permissions to allow WebP Express to save the rules.`

Based on this I would say it’s not compatible with Windows IIS. No other plugin shows this isssue – still plugins defining rules (they can handle web.config).
