To remove the plugin, connect to your site files using an ftp client such as filezilla and delete the wp-content/plugins/adrotate folder.

I went into file manager and I do not have a folder called adrotate. Now what??

No matter what I do I can not get the file to come up. . . not by typing url or url/wp-admin.

When I go to hosting account and pull up file manager it is all there but there is no way to bring the site up.

    This is maddening!

You need to use an FTP client such as filezilla. See https://codex.www.ads-software.com/FTP_Clients

You may also be able to remove the adrotate plugin folder using your hosting account’s file manager. If so, take care that you only remove that folder. Refer to the documentation for the filemanger on your host’s support site if you are in any doubt about how to use it.

Used FileZilla and still not adrotate folder.

    Any other ideas?

are you sure you don’t have a folder called adrotate when you connect by ftp & look in the wp-content/plugins folder?

What is the URL of your site?

Just got it to come up when I typed downtoearthfare.com. No www in front.

    That is good. I

Bad — just went back to site and typed as shown above..blank again. Problem is evidently not solved

@genene12 if the site comes up blank look in your servers error_log for any errors.
You can usually find this file under logs in your hosting dashboard/panel. cPanel for example.

If you’ve upgraded AdRotate to version 3.8 you should upgrade to 3.8.11 (Free version).
If you’ve upgraded to .11 already but from a really old version (eg. 3.6.x) then that is the problem. Such old versions are no longer supported.

In either case, your error_log should tell you more.
If you need further help please post on https://www.adrotateplugin.com/support/forums/.
I don’t check these forums too often.
