I’m not sure I understood you : if you want to change the order in which the categories are sorted, I’m wondering too how to make it.
But if you wean how to sort the different elements of the sidebar (categories, blogroll, flicker photos, “about me”, etctera), for this there’s an easy solution, you just have to edit the php file managing your sidebar, generally it’s sidebar.php
