Cant change background color of footer or header

  • Ive read through documentation and am pretty comfortable around wordpress, but cannot for the life of change the footer or header background color. The documentation shows go to BB settings/footer/ and there I should be able to change footer color and footer text/copyright.
    However on my install, which is the latest version, it only shows change footer text…NOT color. Is this an upgrade feature requiring payment? Previous versions had color change but not the updated one. Before I express my disappointment, I would like to hear back from developers, as maybe it was an oversight on my part. Thank you.

    p.s. I even change the footer background colors in styles.css and rtl.css. Still Nothing. ;-(

    As I have a double check from my end regarding footer color change and not found any text which I have written regarding it and in my previous version there is no option of same, so just want to know where you have read regarding footer color change option in the free theme of BB mobile application.
