    Hi there,

I connected my website to two fb pages and usualy changed them by going to edit and selecting the other fb page( old version ). Today I updated the new version of the plugin, and when I change the Page ID it doesn’t work and articles go to the same fb page, not to the one that I write the ID. Could you please explain me how to resolve this problem, or I guess I have to go back to the old version. Thanks!

    Hi @meritongashi,

Can you share with me some examples of URLs being ingested on the wrong page? I need to look at the URL and also have the page ID that it was supposed to be attached to.

Also, why do you connect your site with two different pages?

    Thank you,
    Diego

I use one website for two fb pages because the topic of these two fb pages is the same. So when I write an article, I want that article to be posted on both fb pages. On the previous version I used to do this by changing the page to edit(into instant articles plugin), and writing the article again (so I wrote one article twice, each one for the specific fb page). Now I tried to write one article, and then changed the Page ID to write the same article to the other page but it didn’t work. This is happening to all articles not to a specific one. Thanks!

    Hi @meritongashi,

Having an Instant Article for your URL is different from posting the article on your page. You need a single Page to be associated with any single URL, and you can share this Instant Article on any Page you like after that without changing anything.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks,

If I write an article and share that article to the other page(without having to write it twice), I wouldn’t be able to control my earnings. That’s because I use different ads for each page to know exactly how much do I earn from each fb page, for example I write an article for the first fb page and put specific ads to it then I rewrite the same article for the other fb page and use different ads! This is how I can have a better control to my earnings. So is it possibly to change the pages like in the previous version or not because it’s not working to me?

You really don’t need to be writing two articles?

Publish the article goes to your website and then Facebook grabs a copy and processes it as an instant article.

    adverts

You could still ensure your website is programmed to the adverts you use and depending on the server you use you can programme instant article to pick up your adverts. But for me no other one can touch instant articles revenue because the CPM is very high.

Also sending the same article to Facebook twice will decrease your engagement as Facebook will detect it has already been shared and give it a lower priority on the news feed. So it is counter productive.

So I’d highly recommend reviewing your advertising model, as dropped my web ads and went for audience network and now making approx 10k – 15k per month. Just food for thought there for you.

    Hey @meritongashi,

I’m still trying to understand the exact scenario here to advise properly.

On Facebook, any given URL has only a single Instant Article representation. If you do change your article but do not change the URL, the previous Instant Article will be overwritten, regardless of which page you use to post this URL.

If you want 2 different pages to have the same article, you need to have 2 different URLs for them – is that the case?

    Thank you,
    Diego

    Sorry for the late reply!

The problem is this, how am I supposed to see how much I’m earning from a FB Page that is sharing my article! This is the only reason why I write one article twice (of course I change the URL a little bit). I have two different fb pages with the same topic, and when I write one article twice, I put one ad to the specific article, and another different ad to the second article(so that I can count exactly how much I earn from each page by watching ads performances). So again, how am I supposed to see how much I’m earning from a FB Page that is sharing my article! Answering this question will solve my problem…

    Thanks,
    Cheers
