Can’t change home page

  • Hi all,

    I used Kadence Importer to import the demo of the Free Ascend (1 an 2) themes.

    Upon load, the home page displays the two images, the hoodies, the “latest posts” section as seen in https://themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend/.

    However, when I edit the “Home” page under pages, The following text is shown in the edit section: 

    
FREE SHIPPING

All orders over $50 don't have shipping costs.
PRODUCT SUPPORT
[...]

    No trace of the images, shop section and latest posts as seen on the page display.

    So Home page in edit mode differs from the real displayed home page . How can I change the displayed home page ?

  • Hey Basile,

    You actually control these items through Theme Options> Home Page Layout.

    Tick the box for home layout modules that you want to be active, and drag and drop them to set the order.

    So what does the “Home” page mean in “Pages” ?

    EDIT: I get it, it’s the content shown in the “Show page content” of the layout manager.

    You are correct! Page content is set in the Edit Screen for the home page, and you set the layout in Theme Options> Home Layout.
