Can't change homepage meta title (in browser)

Your theme or another plugin is overwriting the title that All in One SEO Pack outputs. Try these settings in All in One SEO Pack –

https://semperplugins.com/documentation/performance-settings/#force-rewrites – Set this to Enabled
https://semperplugins.com/documentation/general-settings/#use-original-title – Set this to Disabled

If these don’t work then contact your theme developer and ask them if they are using output buffering and if it can be disabled.

It didn’t work, and I can’t contact my theme developer because I am using the free version. ?? Is there a way to manually override the theme or something?

If those settings don’t work then there’s nothing you can do. Those two settings are there to override the theme but if the theme doesn’t comply then there’s nothing we can do to force the theme to use our title tag.

Thanks for the help. I was able to find a relatively lightweight plugin that was able to override the theme, so problem was solved.
