    I’m not sure if this matters, but I’m a paying customer via QUIC.cloud. I’m not sure if I should use their ticketing system or this system for support.

    If I try to save anything, I get the following error:

     Fatal error: Uncaught Error: substr() expects at least 2 arguments, 1 given
    in /home/linuxtips/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 143

    Call stack:

    1. substr()

    3. require_once()

      wp-load.php:50
    10. require_once()
      wp-admin/admin.php:34

    I am unsure of what to do. It has been like this for some time.

    I did try downloading the plugin and overwriting the existing plugin. That did not help. If I click the option to clean cache from the admin bar, I get the same error. If I make any changes in the settings, I get the same error when I hit the button to save the changes.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Oh, sorry for not being clear.

    This is only when I try to save changes in the plugin. It also happens if I click the Admin Bar button that’d clear the cache. All the other plugins are fine.

    I’m not terribly in a rush or anything, so I didn’t want to open a ticket (but I can) with QUIC.cloud. It works just as it is and nothing major is broken. My settings are set where I want ’em (though I might want to turn object cache off as Redis and memcached aren’t an option with my hosting company – trust me, we tried).

    Other than that, my settings are just fine and everything works just fine.

    This is just what happens if I try to save any settings (I tried a few) or if I hit the aforementioned button/link to clear the cache from the Admin Bar. It’s consistently the same error.

    It took some learning but I want to mention that it required the repair.php operation to fix this. Once I did that, the server threw a 503 a couple of times, and then I could reload the page.

    I then verified that I could save stuff.

    Which is when I realized I was completely disconnected from the service and all my settings were gone.

    The help page (thank you) should have mentioned that, so that I could have exported my settings and imported them when I was done. Thanks for telling me! LOL

    Could you do me a quick favor and maybe verify that I’m all connected properly again? Other than that, I’m probably good to go. It looks like everything is okay at my end. Like I said, I’m a paid customer of QUIC.cloud (though it’s not that expensive) but it appears to be correct at this juncture. I think I have everything connected properly.

    It certainly looks connected properly:

    And, seriously, you should have a warning on the bit about repair.php – that they’ll reset all the settings so they should probably export their settings ahead of time. I’ll know this for next time, but it was a pain in the butt.

    Either way, I am grateful and it’s working properly – I think… I’m 99.99% sure that it’s working properly. I think I got the settings back where they should be. If not, I’ll probably be able to figure it out.

    I also just noticed that I can mark a thread as resolved.

    I have done so, but please be sure to read the post before this. Again, I’m grateful for the help.
