can’t change pages url from ‘about-2’ back to ‘about’

WordPress requires naming to be unique across pages and media uploads, too. Is there anything in your Media Library with the filename or slug ‘about’?

in the Media Library there are two items related to ‘about’:

hmmm… do you think it’s worth renaming this PDF and jpg?

Hi @tedor2 in your phpMyAdmin MySQL web app try this query in the query editor to see if any mysql results are displayed. If any rows are displayed, you need to check the page details that might be displayed and then delete it to make sure you can set the /about url again.

SELECT * FROMwp_postsWHERE post_name='about';

Hi @tedor2 you used the correct tool, just the syntax was a little off. Type it in manually like it is shown in the attached screenshot, might provide some clues.

Hi @tedor2 most probably this is happening because the database is already selected on the left hand site. Can you try writing only this line in the query editor and kindly make sure the database storylab_db-dub3 is selected on the left hand side in phpmyadmin.

For some reason this didn’t work either, however I managed to find the issue:

I searched for ‘about’ in the post table in MyPhDAdmin (in the relevant database) and found that there were two about pages and that the home page’s ‘title’ or ‘slug’ (can’t remember) was also named about. I deleted both pages in the CMS and added them again. It works now.
