Can’t change permalink

    I am using WP 5.1.1 and I created a podcast page and I had deleted that page and created a new page and currently the link is Podcast-2 I do not have any other podcast pages so I have tried to change the Permalink to just Podcast and it allows me to do so but when I go to the site and click on the Podcast link it just takes me to the default home page, if I go back into the podcast page and update the permalink back to Podcast-2 and go back to the website it works normally. is anyone else having this issue? I have logged off and back on incase I wasn’t fully logged on and continues to do the same thing.

    Go to the page and click “Trash”
    Then click “Empty Trash” button

    Now you can change the page slug.

    So I went to the trash and there was the original podcast page in there, I deleted trash and I went in and changed the slug on the active page and still same thing happens. Thank you for that suggestion.
