Cant change the location marker

Hello,
I am trying to change the location marker according to my post types but some how i am not able to do it. I have created a geo mash custom plugin with a custom.js and geo-mashup-custom.php from the net and hooked it up in my function using instruction from https://sites.google.com/site/geomashupwiki/guides/custom-marker-depending-on-a-custom-field-value also from this forum https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/wordpress-geo-mashup-plugin/7yzUE5c-vawbut I have not succeeded. Could you please help me thank you.
