Can't Change Wp-Login to Login URL

I’m looking for the same solution.
Looks like the stealth plugin doesn’t work with WP 3.2.1
Did you find a solution yet?
btw, I think you need a rule that denies https://www.mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin too…

Instead of the rewrite rule you tried, use this one:

RewriteRule ^login$ wp-login.php

But that rewrite rule does not prevent connections to https://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin
That needs to be blocked as well, can that be done with .htaccess as well?

2) Change the links from wp-logins.php to /login
in your functions.php (or someone plugin) add this filter

Again: This successfully redirects ‘secure-login’ to ‘wp-admin’ but is NOT making ‘wp-admin’ unavailable. The visitor STILL can go to https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin directly. So it’s not a real sollution

Well, still there is a slight problem.
The solution ‘Sounds’ mentioned works, but only if the wordpress site resides in the servers root dir. I have another site where wordpress is running in a subdir and there it doesn’t work.

What do I need to change to make it work in a subdirectory? Is it just a matter of defining the basedir or so?

zakhooi , can you tell me how to do that? bcoz when i try to open the url that “sounds” give it to you, its not available anymore… i use wp 3.2.1 too and want to hide my admin login page manually,without using plugin..

previously , i hide my login page with this trick :

– go to wp-login.php , open script
– replace all the “wp-login.php” with “your-url.php”
– there 19 text replaced
– rename too file wp-login.php with your-url.php

this trick works for me, but there’s still 1 problem, i cant LOGOUT!!! >.<

can anyone help me how to fix this “logout problem” ? thanks b4~
