I have a problem clicking on some of Wordfence pages, including to the login security page (mywebsitew/p-admin/admin.php?page=WFLS). So far, I have tried:
    1. deactivate other plugins to ensure no conflicts

    2. checker role. I’m a administrator

    3. check the file and folder permissions. All good here.

    4. Clear WordPress and Browser Cache.

None of this work. Please help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @madesoma, thanks for reaching out.

There are two possible things that spring to mind as you’ve tried disabling other plugins (including mu-plugins?)

Firstly, case insensitive URLs have caused this error for some customers in the past. For example, if I change my URL to?page=wfls?in lowercase I can reproduce the error you’re seeing. There are other pages containing capitals in Wordfence, so it could be related as you’ve described it for some other pages too.

Secondly, Atomicorp’s ModSecurity server firewall rule (ID 390149) has been noted for disallowing access to some of our plugin’s admin pages – most often Login Security that I’ve seen. If you don’t know if your hosting account is using ModSecurity then your hosting provider can disable any rules hitting false-positives for Wordfence, which would be better than disabling the ModSecurity firewall for your hosting account altogether.

Let us know how you get on!
    Peter.

It works fine now after I update the WordPress. I think it’s the step guide that makes the page unclickable.

    Thanks

Thanks for letting us know! If it happens again in future, it could be related to a JavaScript conflict affecting the clickable guide so disabling other plugins and reenabling them one-by-one could help you find which one is conflicting.

    Peter.
