    I can’t reproduce.
Do you have any console errors? You can view them by opening the developer tools via CTRL+SHIFT+i.

Oh yes I see some errors from the Asset Manager Plugin:

Actually, I thought it’s the Asset Clean Up plugin but I see the error is still there when the plugin is disabled, so I think it is not related to that plugin.

    Hi @meir321

We have an internal issue on this subject but we are struggle to reproduce it.

Some things which look like being helpful are either to flush your browser cache or log out and log in again.

    Kind regards

    Mat

It doesn’t help, there is still this error in the console.

    Hi @meir321

As we have difficulties to reproduce this issue, would you be able to create us an account on your matomo with the matomo_super_user rights?
    Our email is [email protected].

    Kind regards

    Hi @meir321

Hi, sorry I didn’t have a chance to reply until now. Spam sessions in the logs are not such a big concern for me right now so I don’t have the time and resources to create this troubleshooting session. Thanks for your help!

    Hi @meir321

Just this week we had a session with someone and could finally identify the problem and we’re working on a fix in https://github.com/matomo-org/matomo/pull/18453/files

The next release won’t have a fix yet but the release afterwards.

The problem happens when you are logged into your browser, and you have saved the password to confirm the change in the browser. So Matomo doesn’t ask you again for password and it causes a bug in the code. We’re working on a fix for this. Thanks very much for your patience.

A workaround could be for example to use a different browser. Maybe logging out of your browser might work too.

Happy to hear, thank you for letting me know.

Hi, I have the problem too (tested on 3 projects with FF and Chrome):

It helped to remove the remembered password from the browser for the “type password to save settings” modal to appear in matomo. I could now save the general settings and saw the selected options “checked”.

As soon as I did a page refresh on the general settings, the checkmarks had disappeared again. All plugin settings were lost as if they never were saved.

    Kind regards, Carl
