Can’t close PDFs on remote site
-
I work from home with a direct connection to a WordPress website at a public gallery about three miles away. The website is for visitor information and has limited interaction with the public.
My job is to add data to the website and it works fine except for PDFs. I create a PDF, upload it to the Media Library, and put a link to it from a WordPress page.
When I visit the gallery to check on the website, I find there is no way, on the screen, of closing the PDF and returning to the original page – no buttons, no symbols.
Many sources tell me how to add a PDF but none tell me how, on remote systems such as this, other people get it to shut down. The gallery system has a limited keyboard and a simple mouse. On lightbox galleries, which I have used, there is both an enlarge and a close button – they’re exactly what I would like.
I’ve asked this question before on many forums (especially this one – just 3 weeks and 3 days ago – my apologies but I am desperate!) but no answer, with respect, has helped me so far and I’m now losing my will to live the number of PDFs grows. Whatever I try, whatever I do, doesn’t work
