Can’t close the “News Beta Feature!” banner

    Hello,

    It seems that users with an editor role can’t close the banner “Enable Media Replace now gives you the ability to remove the background of any image […]” shown at the top of the media library.
    As an administrator I was able to close it normally with the close button (X).

    Is this a known bug?

    Hi @emielb,

    I just tried this on a new installation from tastewp.com. I created a new editor user and this editor was able to dismiss the banner correctly, and it didn’t come back.

    Can you maybe try to completely remove the plugin and re-install it?

    Hi @sixaxis,

    Thanks for looking into this! Out of curiosity, before reinstalling it completely, I tried simply re-enabling the extension after deactivating it and the banner disappeared. So the solution for those who would encounter the problem is to simply deactivate and reactivate the plugin.
