I can’t complete the creation of a Thumbnail Gallery. I add a name and click “Next” which takes me to a screen with my shortcode and a “Publish” button but nothing else. I tried publishing and then editing but get the same essentially empty screen.

FYI, your shortcode seems to have a conflict with the CSS Plus shortcode. Initially when I tried to create a Thumbnail Gallery, the title field was pre-populated with “CSS” and the CSS Plus content box. I deactivated CSS Plus which stopped the above but I still faced the above issues.

Is there an alternative way to create a Thumbnail Gallery?

    Thanks for your help.

I’m still looking for help on this. Can I manually create the shortcode? Is there available documentation on the shortcode format?

    Thanks.

    wpriley,

I’m currently experiencing exactly the same thing. Very frustrating as I’d hoped this would provide what I need. Is the author supporting this?

    HI there,

I actually will be retiring this plugin soon. FooGallery now has it’s own Gallery template called Single Thumbnail Gallery which does everything this does and much better.

    Here’s the link to FooGallery:

Here’s the Demo of the Single Thumbnails Gallery:

    Thanks!

    Hey there Matt,

I didn’t notice you were the author of this plugin. Sorry for the duplicate post above.

So the funny thing is I came to this plugin from Single Thumbnail Gallery, reading elsewhere that it was not intended to handle multiple images. Strange I thought considering that it is a foogallery extension which is all about multiple images.

Anyway, I’ve not been able to get it (single thumbnail gallery) working as a shortcode in the header.php (using do_shortcode). It displays the first image well enough, but doesn’t then do any of the foobox animated captions on rollover, nor the foobox on click. Do you know if it can be used in a header.php (outside the loop?) I’ll post over on my foogallery as well, but thought I’d ask if you had any experience with this.

    1) do_shortcode() should work just as expected with a foogallery shortcode just like any other shortcode. Being inside the loop doesn’t matter in this case at all.

    2) Off the top of my head, the title and description fields are typically what FooGallery looks for. I often just put text in ALL the fields just to see what they’ll do with new galleries.

    Thanks!
