Hello there! I would like to know if you can help me with an issue I am encountering.
I am setting up a client website, it’s an e-commerce website. Woocommerce is working great, payment methods are working exactly as we want, etc.

The only issue we are having is with the “Taxes Step” in the WooCommerce Wizard. I cannot make it “COMPLETE”, since I won’t be using taxed on my websites. I have already disabled taxes with the website, but I can not go past through the Wizard. Why I want to “complete” the Wizard? Since I want to have the WordPress Status widget at the WordPress Dashboard, so when my client connects to her account, she can have a glimpse of all the products she have in stock, the orders, etc.

The website is being created in Spanish (Argentina).

I will attach an image of the how I am seeing the Wizard:

Thanks in advance for your time.

    Have a nice day!
    Regards,
    Alejandro

    Hello @kumodigital,

I’ve set up a new WooCommerce Test Site and have gone through the Setup Wizard. When I get to the step to setup taxes I can see an option “I don’t charge sale tax”:

This option is probably shown because I don’t have Jetpack installed yet on my site. If you have Jetpack installed please remove it and try again the Setup Wizard.

If I then complete the tax setup and go back to the general setup wizard the “completed mark” is shown and I can finish the setup. The WooCommerce Status widget appears in the dashboard.

Sorry, WordPress never sent me notifications about the answers on this topic.
I wasn’t able to resolve this issue. I don’t have Jetpack installed and the taxes step is still “incomplete”. I am not able to complete the WooCommerce Wizard and have the widget. I think this should be easier to solve, what a pity.

Hope you can suggest me other way to solve this, sorry.

    Thanks for your time!

    Thanks for getting back.

Just to check, have you tried the option given earlier by Mirko?

    Hello @abwaita. Thanks for replying.
Yes, I have already tested what Mirko said. I can’t see the option as he sees it. I am thinking maybe I will have to re-install Woocommerce again. But, is there a way to uninstall it without losing, for example, the products I have already loaded? There aren’t a lot but I would like to know if that’s possible.

I am assuming I will have to re-install it since I can’t see the option as Mirko saw it.

I am still looking the image like this, without the option “I don’t charge sales tax” or another one.

    Thanks for your time!

    Thanks for getting back @kumodigital.

Note that you can run the setup wizard again without having to reinstall WooCommerce.

You’ll want to go to any WooCommerce page on the backend that shows the “Help” dropdown, for instance, the WooCommerce → Orders page. When you click “Help”, you should see a dropdown that has a Setup Wizard option:

Click on the option then the subsequent “Setup Wizard” button to initialize the process:

From there, you should be able to go through the setup wizard steps, which you can skip until you get to the screen shown on Mirko’s screenshot.

Let us know how it goes.
    Thanks.
