Hey there — been trying for two days now. I cannot connect analytics. It says that the site already has a tag, but that the account doesn’t have access. Problem is — I’m the account owner. I disabled the plugins noted in the “limitations” section that I’m using but to no avail. I disconnected, deactivated, and reconnected, but with the same outcome. I verified that the site ta the Site Kit is detecting is the same as the one under my account and on the site. So … Please help!

I have screenshots, but don’t see where to upload them. Thanks ??

@jcconners Sorry to hear you are encountering issues. Do you have WooCommerce related plugins or any other Analytics plugins on your site, which may have options to place Analytics or Ads Conversion tracking code on your site?

Hi @jamesosborne — no, I don’t use WooCommerce. I added the Google analytics tag to the theme in the Elegant Themes panel (Extra theme). I do use WP Super cache, bu as recommended in the documentation — known limitations section — I disabled it while attempting to connect the service. The theme came preinstalled with the Monster Insights for Google Analytics plugin, but I’m not using that either.

The only thing I could think of otherwise was Jetpack — but I disabled that too.

@jcconners Thanks for the update. Is there an option to temporarily deactivate or remove the Monster Insights feature of your theme? You can share your Site Health information if you want me to see if I can notice anything.

To share screenshots there are some browser extensions you can use, allowing you to share via a URL link.
