Hi, my website got disconnected from Jetpack and I can’t connect it back up due to this error:

cURL error 7: Failed to connect to jetpack.wordpress.com port 443: Connection timed out

    Outbound HTTPS not working
Your site could not connect to WordPress.com via HTTPS. This could be due to any number of reasons, including faulty SSL certificates, misconfigured or missing SSL libraries, or network issues.

Jetpack will re-test for HTTPS support once a day, but you can click here to try again immediately: Try again WordPress reports no SSL support

For more help, try our connection debugger or troubleshooting tips.

I’ve disabled all plugins as well as activated a default wordpress theme and still wasn’t able to connect. My hosting provider checked the SSL and told me it’s not a problem on their end. The xmlrpc.php is giving me a default message “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only” on a line by itself, so I’m not sure where to go from here… is there anything else I could try?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for getting in touch. Could you confirm what versions of WordPress and Jetpack you’re using? And is your PHP version fairly current? WordPress requires PHP version 7.3 or greater.

    Wordpress version 5.3
    Jetpack 7.9.1
    PHP version is 7.3

That’s why I’m so confused because everything seems to be in order but still not connecting :/

We’re definitely being blocked from communication with the site, but I don’t see any outright blockers in our tests.

Please try deleting Jetpack specifically from the Plugins section of your blog’s Dashboard: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

This will clear out Jetpack’s settings, and it should work properly after a reinstall.

I’ve already tried that.. and I did it again just in case. I still get the same error.
This is also happening on my one other website. :/

This is also happening on my one other website

Can you please give the URL of the other site where this is happening as well? There might be a common factor between these sites that can help us narrow things down.

What are the Core, Jetpack and PHP versions for the other site? And is it on the same hosting, or a different host/hosting setup?

Hi, the second site is https://steamydesigns.net/
    And it’s the same
    WordPress version 5.3
    Jetpack 7.9.1
    PHP version is 7.3

It’s on the same Sydney pro theme and same hosting (ionos)

Similar issue here, definitely blocked, but no obvious blockers outright.

Would you please contact us via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support so we can take a closer look?

okay, I’ve done so now. Thank you.
