Hi Matthieu and thanks for using our plugin!

Can you please tell me how the statistics look like in Google Analytics for your most visited posts? Are the numbers different from the ones you see displayed by Toplytics? Is there any error that you see in the Toplytics settings page? Do you see your connected GA account in the Toplytics settings page? I’m sorry for so many questions, I’d like to better understand what is happening in your case. Normally the statistics should get refreshed every hour.

    Hi,

I see the same issue. For the Most Popular posts, the “views” numbers are going up in Google Analytics. But are not changing on my sidebar. I installed WP Control to see the cron jobs. I see “toplytics_cron_event”, and when I run it manually, then the sidebar post numbers update and match what is in Google Analytics. If the cron is not firing, should I reinstall the plugin?

    Thanks,
    Dean

    Hi Dean,

If the cron job isn’t firing then maybe there’s something wrong with the cron events in general. Normally, if you see it in the cron list it should get executed every hour. In the WP Crontrol page don’t you see the last time it was executed or if there was any error with it?

@mattdgn can you also install the plugin WP Crontrol and check if the numbers get updated when manually executing the “toplytics_cron_event”? If the answer is yes, then most probably there’s an issue with your cron events too.

I’d say that in both cases you could check this with your hosts as well.

    Thanks and best regards,

    HI Matt,

Have you seen the question from our previous reply? Here it is again for you to check:

    Hi all,

I got the plugin to work again by doing this:

In Toplytics admin screen in WordPress I deactivated my connection to Google Analytics, then deactivated the plugin, then deleted it. Then using WP Control, I deleted the toplytics cron jobs.

Then I re-installed the plugin and re-connected to Google Analytics. Now the post totals update and match with totals in GA. And the numbers update on my site.

    Hope that helps!

Hi and thanks Dean @boulderpoet and Presslabs @presslabs!

I didn’t have any cron event running with Toplytics and showing in WP Crontrol.

So I reinstalled the extension and it is working for now.

    Thanks again,

    Matt
