    Hi,

I opened a Google Ads account, but couldn’t make a connection with my WordPress website after adding the tracking tag manually using Appearance > Theme file editor > header.php > adding tracking tag in the header.

I removed the tag since it didn’t connect from Google Ads anyway. I noticed in Google Site Kit when clicking on “Complete Setup for Adsense” it replies with “Your account isn’t ready to show ads yet” and that I need to fix things.

When I then click on “Review Adsense account” it says my content is of less value. However I paid 10 euro’s for Google Ads! Is there a way to make Google Ads work without completing the setup for Adsense in Site Kit? I can’t even run a campaign in Google Ads now, right? I hope what I wrote makes sense.

Thanks for reaching out. As per this guide on the Site Kit website, if your site isn’t ready to show ads yet, you’ll need to address any areas of your site that were flagged by the AdSense team before submitting your site for approval once more. By your comments regarding less value, you can follow this guide.

After you’ve made changes to your site, to ensure it does comply with AdSense policy, you can submit your site for approval once more. Note that we’re unable to speed up the process here in Site Kit support. The AdSense team review all sites before they are ready for ads.

Google Ads is a different product to AdSense. With Google Ads you pay to have your ads placed on other websites, directing users to your site. Using Google Ads doesn’t have any bearing on your application to use AdSense.

If you have any further queries regarding your site approval status, you can reach out to the product experts over at the AdSense Help Center.
