• I have already been in contact with Godaddy, my hosting provider to figure this out. But they, unfortunately, had to ask me to raise the questions to WordPress.

I am trying to install a new plugin on my site which recently was migrated to a dedicated hosting solution with c-panel at GoDaddy.

When I try to install a new plugin ,WordPress (for the first time, never done this before) asks for Hostname, ftp username, and ftp password. I have verified these credentials with my hosting provider godaddy to make sure its the right ones, but they are not accepted.

The issue seem to be that I have an SFTP-user and username, using port 22. I believe port 21 is the default one you use when its not SSL. I can’t chose port at wordpress.

only FTPS (SSL) which from Godaddy I understood is not the same. So even if I choose FTPS (SSL) my SFTP user name and password depsite being correct wont work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
