Recently, I moved a site, flamboyantcottage.com, from development to production. It seems to work without problems. However, when I try to connect to Jetpack, I get:

Jetpack wasn’t able to connect to?flamboyantcottage.com.

I’ve tried every one of the recommended solutions, such as debug, including deleting and reinstalling Jetpack. Turning off all other plugins did not help. I don’t get any error messages other than the initial one.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

I checked your site, and Jetpack is currently connected to your site, and no problem found in connection. Could you please let us know if the issue is already resolved?

    Hi there

The connection appears to be ok overall, but we are seeing intermittent ‘500’ (internal server) errors when testing multiple requests to your site in a row. This could be due to rate limiting on your server. I’d suggest contacting your host and asking them to check their logs for details of those errors, and to remove any rate limiting, and/or whitelist our IP addresses:

    https://jetpack.com/support/hosting-faq/#jetpack

Please note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at any time. For that reason, we recommend your host uses the machine-readable versions of these IP ranges in JSON or plain text format to automate configuration changes on their systems.

    Dan,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I’ll check with the host.

That sounds like a plan, Carl.

No need to reply until you’ve heard back from your host, but once you do, please let us know the results and we can help from there. Thanks!

I contacted HostGator. They understood about metering and whitelisting. They increased several site settings. They added your IPs to their whitelist. It made no difference. The site still has an error connecting to JP stats. I’ve looked at the site with different browsers, but there is no change.
