• I am trying to connect to twitter. I have followed the instructions on the Twitter Connection page. Setup a dev account, created a project, created an application, added the API/Secret Key, setup the OAuth 1.0a, read + write permissions, added Access/Secret Token and saved. I get the following message:

    “You currently have Essential access which includes access to Twitter API v2 endpoints only. If you need access to this endpoint, you’ll need to apply for Elevated access via the Developer Portal.”

    It does show as an “Essentials” project in the dev backend. Do I need to apply for elevated access?

    Yes, you do need to apply for elevated access. This is a change Twitter made to their account set up last year; older application accounts were automatically migrated to Elevated, but new accounts have to apply.
