    Using free version.

Under General Settings: Image Size set to custom and block size set to “340” (tried “340px” too). Crop on and off. No difference. Thumbs are showing as around 200px in size. In my wordpress media settings, I have “medium” thumbs set to be 340, and even when I select Image Size in your plugin, It shows images around 200px. Do I have to buy the premium version for it to do what I set it to do? Not feeling too “spendy” about this when these are functions it says it will do. And yep, I clear my cache, both on server and client-side.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @beatrice12

Thanks for looking at my issue!

As I mentioned above “And yep, I clear my cache, both on server and client-side.”

But maybe it’s still a valid question: Yes, I do use caching (WP-Optimize) and I clear page cache and server-side cache every time I re-check the gallery page.

    Hello @scottermonk ,

The images are resized to the dimension you specified, as you can see here https://hardsurface.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/20221022_190316-680×906.jpg

The custom grid is a set of 12 blocks per row, and when you set the size 340px/block it means that one block will have 340px. Now, if you stretch an image on 2 blocks, it means that in the front the image will have 2x340px = 680px, which is correct as shown in the above image example. The problem you are experiencing is that you are trying to show 12 blocks ( 6 images as far as I can see ) in a container that only has 1080px, so that’s 90px/block, so about 180px/image ( a little less if we take into consideration the gap between the images ).

To correct this, please either decrease the size/block and put fewer images on 1 row, or increase the width of the gallery container, maybe make it a full page container.

Hope this clears things up a bit ??

    Warmly,
    Razvan

@raldea89 Where do I find the “The custom grid is a set of 12 blocks per row” setting?

Remember; I have only the free version. When I go to General Settings for this Gallery, and Custom, I only have Gutter, Image size (Custom), Block size (340), and Crop Images toggle (off).

If I change Image size to “Medium,” I still do not see a setting for blocks per row or anything per row.

If I choose “Masonry,” I get more settings but I’ve played with them. Still nothing about rows or width, except a Width %, Row Height, and Image size dropdown.

The only way I have found to keep blur low is to use the “Custom” Gallery Type setting so that the images are 6 across and thus, small.

    Hello @scottermonk ,

That is not a setting, I was explaining how the custom grid works ( please see image https://imgur.com/a/JHyDRHs ), which is available in the free version of the plugin. You can specify the dimension of each block, which you did ( 340 ). You have 6 images in a row, so each image takes 2 blocks in width, making a total width of 680px. The gallery container is only 1080px ( please see image https://imgur.com/a/eF3dal1 ), so you are forcing 6 images in a 1080px container, making each image approx 180px ( there is also a gap between images ). So, visually, the image is approx 180px, although, as I have pointed out in the previous reply, the image itself is 680px wide.

    Does this clear things out?

    Warmly,
    Razvan
