Hello,

I have 2 wordpress websites with 3/4 same content.
This plugin would be a time saver, however, when I “broadcast” a page (not a post!!) to another site, the page doesn’t appear on the other site.

Set-up of the sites
Site 1: https://www.antaqua.net (master) –> set-up as multi-site
Site 2: https://www.lerenduikeninantwerpen (child) –> copy of site 1, also set-up as multi-site and the directory is set to the directory of site 1.
The databases are different for both sites.
The admin of site 1 is also “admin” in the multi site set-up of site 2
The multi site is modified to I can use different domains

Is there something I’ve missed?
Is there a possibility to achieve this without multisite?

There’s your problem. You can only broadcast from one site in a multisite to another, not to a different install.

Is it not possible for you to have both the sites under the same multisite?

Maybe a stupid question, but how do I do that?
When I just add a new site to my master site, and I want to browse to the dashboard, I got
404 Not Found
The requested URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this server.

Could it be that your htaccess is broken? Or your cpanel isn’t correctly set up?

I’ve installed wordpress on the master site using softaculous.
Then I’ve done the steps in this article https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/251116/how-to-use-wordpress-multisite-with-different-domain-names (tried with and without the HTAccess part)

I don’t know if i use cpanel

I’m afraid I can’t help you set up a multisite, especially considering I know nothing about your hosting environment. Perhaps your webhost can help? Or the WordPress support forum for installation problems?

Once you’ve gotten the multisite working, then I can help you with Broadcast.

I needed to create a domain alias for the client site.
