• Hi there,

I just have installed the events manager plugin. Everything seems to be fine, i can access the plugin settings but the events admin panel is not appearing on the left hand side and I can’t find how to create a new event.

    Can you please help? Thanks

ps: I have tried to reinstalled the plugin but it didn’t change anything…

if it’s not appearing on the left hand side, how can you access the settings? are you sure you activated the plugin?

That is my problem!- I can’t access the settings.(sorry bad wording on original post)

The plug-in appears to be installed correctly as it generates the ‘Events’ page and gives me the advice- “This page corresponds to Events Manager events page. Its content will be overriden by Events Manager……” etc but the interface doesn’t show the ‘Events’ tab as shown in the documentation ie a la ‘screenshot-6.png’ and ‘screenshot-1.png’

    Frustrated//confused

do you have any plugins messing with the admin menu? Could be something like that. It should definitely show to an admin, first time I hear of this.

Only 2 plug-ins activated: Blog-in-Blog and WordPress Importer. De-activated WPimporter now but no change. BiB is needed so no choice there. Using WordPress 3.2.1. if that helps.

Thanks for your help on this.
I will continue looking for a fix in the meantime-probably just uninstall/delete/re-install… something has to give eventually!

    Update:
Attempted installation via WP Dashboard (originally installed manually) This time no Events Page installed, therefore deleted plug-in.

Attempted installation manually again. Resulted in this code dump/error message on WP Dashboard. Error messageAre there any clues to the issues I am having here?

if you’re not seeing the events menu in your admin area, that’s a pretty unique problem.

Don’t think that other plugin would cause the issue, but something is stopping EM from working that way so you have to try all avenues to pinpoint the cause. That means disabling your plugins and/or reverting to the 2011 theme. It must be one or the other because the menus use standard wp functions to generate themselves.
