Can’t create field group

    Custom Post Types v5.0.1

    Hi… I’m trying to do the basic of creating a field group. I think I’m doing it right, but after saving it comes back with an error message “Field group registration was not successful ( Id, label, and supports args are required.)

    However, I don’t see where to supply them nor what they refer to.

    I got the same error. This is becasue you did not select “assignments”, i.e. where the metabox is to be displayed.

    Hmmm… but I did select the “assignments”. Look in my screenshot and you can see I selected “Topics”.

    Also, the error message says that label is required. However, there isn’t anywhere in the UI to put in a label that I can see (also shown in the screenshot.)

    Ok, now select a field and it should resolve it. It seems that you cannot have an empty metabox.

    Thanks… got it to work. The problem was that I missed the “Post Title” field at the top of the settings dialog. That apparently is what was referred to as “label” in the error message. So I added a Post Title and it seems to be working better.
