Can’t create form editable on front end
-
This looks like a great plugin, but I find the documentation inadequate. The plugin should be able to do what I want, but I can’t figure out how.
My client’s site offers online music lessons. He wants a form editable on the front end that students could use to track their progress on individual songs. I’ve created custom fields like Song Title (textarea), Learned the chords (checkbox), Learned the melody (checkbox), etc. I’ve gotten these fields to appear on posts in the ‘songlist’ category.
Then I added the processor Save as Post Type. Post status is set to ‘publish’ and PostID is {embed_post:ID}
But when I edit the data in the front end and hit submit, the post reloads and the form (and data) disappears. I can’t seem to get the form with the user-submitted data to display on the post. This is true whether I use the shortcode in the post content, or use the_content filter to display the form, as described here:

PS for any Caldera staff: note the typo in “wordpress” in your URL.
I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Can anyone help?
Basically, I want a simple form where a logged-in user can enter content on the frontend, save it, and have the filled-in form displayed. and I want the user to be able to re-edit the form as he/she makes progress.
This seems simple enough, and something that has many applications. I’m sure there’s a way to do it with this plugin. Please advise.
Thanks.
