Same problem on two separate installations, both running 4.2.1.

There are others reporting issues with the TinyMCE editor and blank screens, but my issue only seems to relate to adding hyperlinks – I can format text OK.

In Visual mode, highlight the text, click on Insert/edit link, enter the link and click on Add link, no link is added and none shown in the html in Text mode. In Text mode, do the same, and still no anchor tag. I can manually type in an anchor tag in Text mode and when I go back to Visual mode, it shows correctly as a hyperlink. If I then try to edit that link, it reverts to plain text.

    Anyone else seeing this?

  • hey Zeno,

Having an issue adding hyperlinks too. I think it’s clear that there are lots of smaller issues (like this) that we’re all going to have to deal with until WordPress rolls out some fixes.

Can you let me know if you find a solution for this? I will do likewise.

    Found the problem…

This topic suggested that it was caused by the Rel Nofollow Checkbox plugin. I’m not using that but Ultimate Nofollow. Deactivating that fixes the problem, so it’s caused by a conflict with that plugin.

    Zeno,

Good man! Thanks for that. What’s your site?
