Hello, are you trying to use Gutenberg for this? I see that the issue seems specific to Gutenberg, we don’t completely support Gutenberg yet. I can’t reproduce this myself using the classic editor.

That said, it seems we already have the suggested fix that should be implemented, linked in your thread link above:

We already add the ‘supports’:’custom-fields’ to our CPT.
