• I’ve installed the GatherContent plugin. I then proceed to add a New Mapping by clicking on the “New Mapping” link in the side menu, selecting the appropriate project from an account (in this case it’s Ivanti Staging Blog 4). I then click the “Next Step” button and I am taken back to main Dashboard as though nothing has happened.

If I click on the “Template Mappings” menu item to check to see if something has been created, there is nothing listed there.

It appears that the plugin is not working correctly. I’ve checked the Developer Console in Chrome and there are no visible errors.

  • Sorry about the issues. I have not seen that occur for me before. You said you checked the Developer Console. Can you also check your php error log or the WordPress debug.log to see if there are errors in there?

Thank you for responding so quickly! I’ve checked both the php error log as well as the WordPress debug.log, and am not seeing any visible errors (at least none that pertain to this plugin). Any other ideas?

At this point, can you open a support ticket with the GatherContent support team? There you can provide us a WordPress admin login so we can go in and test/debug.

Do you have any experience with the WPML plugin? I suspected all along that it might be another plugin causing the issue, so I went and disabled each plugin and then tried creating a New Mapping. Through this process, I’ve narrowed it down to the WPML plugin causing the issues.

Oh that’s very interesting. We have tested/used the plugin with WPML (and so have many others), and didn’t run into this issue. Are you using the most recent version of everything (WPML, GatherContent Plugin, WordPress)? I would definitely like to figure out what is causing the conflicts. It’s very odd that you are not seeing anything in the debug log or in the browser JS console.

This is a great question. I don’t think we have the latest versions of everything you mentioned (WPML, GatherContent Plugin, WordPress). I am going to double-check on this. I agree, it’s really odd that I’m not seeing any errors in the console or debug log. Let me try to update everything and see if it fixes the issue, and I will let you know. Thanks!
