Can’t create or edit posts

What happens if you snitched to the default Twenty Nineeteen theme for moment?

There is another post that says enable the Classic Text Widget. I did that and it worked. However I now get white text on a white background so have to highlight the text with my mouse to read what I typed. It uploads OK.

This started 2 updates ago and I found I could use what I think was the Jetpack menu to update. At the lastest update this seems to have gone so I found the Classic Widget workround. It’s getting a bit messy for my liking.

@pete5000 I had the white on white for a bit, but now I’m not even getting that. What’s the classic widget? Is that the classic editor? That’s not working for me anymore

It isn’t a Widget it’s a Plug in called ‘Classic Editor’. It got rid of the blank page but gave me white text on white background.

I’ve just installed Jetpack with the Classic Editor and it’s working fine. I expect I can’t use the new editing anymore but at least I can write posts.

There was some confusion about a prompt to subscribe to a paid account but using the back button went out of it. It’s working at the moment without subscribing.
