I am unable to create sub menus. I can drag the page over so it is to the right of the parent menu but when I go to save menu it automatically moves it back to the left so all pages are parent menus.

I am very new to wordpress but every tutorial I see just says to drag it over and save.

Anyone know a simple fix for this?

    Thanks

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

I do not have any plugins activated to start, I just starting using wordpress late last week.

I tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme and still had the same problem.

I reset the plugin folder via PhpMyAdmin. Problem persists.

I tried the re-install wordpress from the dashboard updates button. I am not sure how to re-upload just the wp-admin and wp-includes folders.

I’d just like to add. I was having this problem and found that I could create the menus when I was using firefox. But not when I was using Explorer.

Also make sure java is enabled. I didn’t know why I had trouble with ie and widgets for weeks.
