    The deactivation shouldn’t cause an error, it’s bascially removing the cache and advanced-cache.php file. However, like any plugin, you can manually deactivate. Simply go to wp-content/plugins and either change the name of the plugin folder or delete it. In this case that would be wp-content/plugins/gator-cache. You probably should remove wp-content/advanced-cache.php as well if it’s still there.
