• The updated (today) ithemes plugin is causing too many issues and I want to deactivate it and remove it, but I can’t deactivate it. I called my host, and they say it is not anything to do with them.

    I am getting this error when I try to deactivate the plugin:

    Secure Connection Failed

    An error occurred during a connection to mywholelifehealthcare.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

    And now I can’t even get into the dashboard.

    Now I can’t do anything in the backend at all. I want to remove this plugin and everything associated with it!

    Im downgrade to 4.0.6, (before all problems), and delete 3 tables from my DB.
    One of possible solutions:

    1) Move folder plugin or rename it.
    2) Delete 3 tables (backup FIRST). https://i.imgur.com/PHLITDW.png
    3) Upload old plugin and no activate.

    Beware WP-Supercache, delete cache.

    Now im use wordfence and wait por a weeks to use better-wp, when all problems solved, every day a new version…

    Thanks, maniaka, I ended up renaming the plugin folder, then downloading the wpconfig.php and removing these 3 lines from the top:
    define( ‘FORCE_SSL_LOGIN’, true );
    define( ‘FORCE_SSL_ADMIN’, true );
    define( ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true );

    Then I uploaded the revised wpconfig.php file, and I was able to get into the dashboard, where I was able to delete the plugin and all of its files. I don’t have access to the database — it is GoDaddy, and I can’t get into the database to edit it. This seemed to work, and I won’t be using that plugin anymore. Going to move to GoDaddy’s new WordPress managed hosting, which is supposed to be more secure. How a plugin company can allow this B.S. to happen is beyond me.
