Thanks for a super-easy plugin to create tables. We are using it for simple 2-column rosters.

I’m trying to delete table ID 3. I hit delete from the list of “All Tables” but it won’t disappear from the list, even after re-loading the page.

The “All Tables” list only shows tables 1-4, (including the “deleted” 3). Tables 5 and 6 only appear after clicking the search button, but at least they’re correct when they finally turn up. Shouldn’t they appear in the “All Tables” list? When they do appear, the “deleted” table 3 is gone.

I was able to get into the edit page of the supposedly deleted table 3, and clicked delete at the bottom of that page. This message consistently pops up:

“The link you followed has expired. Please try again.”

I tried deactivating the entire plugin and it would not deactivate. I went into my plugin files on the server and deleted the entire folder for tablepress. When I downloaded it again, all the above tables reappeared. I thought I’d be starting fresh.

The tables are so simple to create; I’m sure they are supposed to be just as easy to delete.

Currently, my rosters on the front end of the website are correct. It’s just the backend that’s nuts. If I don’t use this often, I’ll forget the secret quirks and how to work around them. Thanks for your help.

Using WordPress 4.9.8 running Shapely theme. Tablepress Version 1.9.1
If you want screenshots, let me know where to upload them.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This sounds strange. I’m not sure what’s going on there, especially as you mention that you could not deactivate the plugin… This indicates that something with your site’s database might not be working properly (as deactivating a plugin is a WordPress function and not directly related to TablePress).

To start fresh with TablePress, please try the “Uninstall” button on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress.

In addition, you might want to check if your site’s/server’s database management tool (e.g. phpMyAdmin) offers an option to “optimize”, “clean”, or “repair” the database.
However, please create a backup first, before trying these options.

    Regards,
    Tobias
