I had a huge amount of bots sign up as donors using the offline donation form (even though I have Akismet installed and activated to try to control this.)

Every time I try to delete them as a bulk action, I get a notification that I have to approve the deletions first, but there is no popup or other thing where I can approve it.

If I view the donor, then delete the single donor, it seems to work but they are still listed in the list. I just can’t open the donor entry anymore.

    Hi @dianapeterson,

I can see you are facing issue with bulk delete using the latest release. Also, you are getting lots of bots signup.

    1. For Bots Sign Up: I suggest you to enable Akismet Protection (if you’ve not enabled it) under Donations > Settings > Advanced and enable the Akismet Protection for donation forms as you have already installed Akismet Plugin.

    2. For Bulk Donor Delete: We have improved the bulk delete functionality for donors which is more Flexible and User Friendly. You can checkout the GitHub issue for more information and screenshot about the functioning of the Donor Delete Process. Click here to see how it works.

I used the Akismet option from the beginning, and it doesn’t seem to stop any of these bots.

    Hi @dianapeterson

We’ve adapted this plugin to also integrate with Give, it’s called “Stop Signup Spam”. Please install this and let me know if it resolves the Bot issue for you:
    https://github.com/mathetos/stop-signup-spam/archive/master.zip

Also, please update to the latest version of Give, and then go to “Donations > Updates” and make sure your database is updated as well. Then try the Bulk Delete option again. If you continue to have struggles with the delete option, then most likely there’s a plugin conflict which is preventing the confirmation message from appearing correctly. Please deactivate all plugins besides Give and test again. If it works as expected then re-activate each plugin one at a time until you see the problem again. Then let us know which plugin caused the error and we’ll dig into it.

If after deactivating all other plugins it still does not work correctly, then tell us where we can get a copy of your theme to test.

    Thanks!
