can’t delete placeholder element

I set up with Button 2 premium theme. On my blog page there is a remnant of the theme placeholders that is there when viewing the page, but NOT when I try to edit that page, therefore I can’t delete it.

That big black box at the bottom “Get New Recipes….subscribe” can’t be removed….
