    no matter what I do i can’t delete – sitename at google search results. first, i tried deleting it from yoast metabox – didn’t work. After that, i tried delete the title from the yoast setting but no matter what i did, i still had the problem. I sent yoast a mail and they answered me: Meanwhile, let’s troubleshoot the issue.
    If you have set the correct SEO title in the Yoast SEO meta box, then it could be possible that another plugin or theme is outputting the wrong one.
    Please, as the first step check your theme and other plugins settings to see if this is the case.

    please help me, I don’t know what to do to make – sitename deleted from google search results.

  • Hi, I’m having the same problem as you.

    I’ve updated my title in the Yoast SEO metadata box and my page has been crawled by Google, so the changes have been taken into account. However, the sitename remains in my title.

    Interestingly, the source code displays the correct title, but it doesn’t appear correctly in the search engine results page (SERP) for the desktop version.

    On the other hand, the title does appear correctly for mobile devices. I don’t think this is a theme or plugins problem, as it works for mobile versions.

    Hi, I’m adding this link as an example, it’s important for me to note that this happens in hundreds of posts and not just in one case, but in everything I post on the blog.
    You wrote to me in an email that there is probably a conflict with a plugin or with the theme. I have no problem replacing and deleting everything that is needed, but I don’t know what is causing the problem.
    I tried to remove the website name through the settings in yoast seo but it does not work, I am attaching a photo of an example, I would be very happy to receive help, thank you.

    @omribar51 Thanks for providing the screenshot.

    We reviewed this and we think that you are not wanting the domain name appear in the breadcrumb as it’s title. Is that correct?

    If so, you can edit the Breadcrumb Title by following the directions found here.

    I didn’t really understand what you meant. The problem is that I upload a post without the title of the site and the title still appears in every possible post that I upload. I sent a screenshot of what I did in the yoast box and how the post was actually uploaded. How can i hide the website name in the google search results? That’s what I’m trying to understand.

    There is a problem with my og:title tag, can you please check it? It appears to be true but in reality it is not.

    Hello @omribar51,

    Thanks for the screenshot but the issue is unclear. Here’s what’s in the page source for your homepage:

    <title>???????: ??? ????? ??????? ???? - ???? ??????? ??? ??????</title>

    <meta property="og:title" content="???????: ??? ????? ??????? ???? - ???? ??????? ??? ??????" />

    "name":"???????"

    Excuse the language barrier, do you mean those aren’t what you entered in the Yoast SEO plugin?

    The home page is displayed correctly. All other pages and posts do not appear well. I am attaching a link to Google as an example and what I wrote in Yoast SEO

    google search: https://www.google.com/search?q=%D7%A4%D7%AA%D7%99%D7%AA%D7%99%D7%9D+%D7%91%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%A7%D7%A8%D7%95%D7%92%D7%9C&rlz=1C1VDKB_iwIL1076IL1076&oq=%D7%A4%D7%AA%D7%99%D7%AA%D7%99%D7%9D+&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCAgAEEUYJxg7MggIABBFGCcYOzIICAEQRRgnGDsyBggCEEUYOTIGCAMQRRg7MgcIBBAAGIAEMgYIBRBFGD0yBggGEEUYPTIGCAcQRRg90gEHODgyajBqNKgCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

    As you can see in the link you added, in Yoast Seo I don’t add the website name, but it is still added in the Google search results.

    It happens in every possible post and page that I put up and not in one or two posts

    For this post, this is what is in the page source:

    <title>?????? ???????? ?-5 ????</title>

    Is that what you added as the SEO title in the Yoast SEO plugin for that post?

    Thread Starter omribar51

    (@omribar51)

    Yes, but it still adds – sitename at the end, that’s the problem. and it’s happen every single post i upload.

    If what you have added in the Yoast SEO plugin is what’s in the page source, then the problem is not with our plugin.

    Google is still the one who decides what your title?says. You can reach out on the?Google Search Central Help Community?forum for further assistance.
