Can’t delete Widgets

  • I installed the Neve theme on a newly created site and I can’t delete the Search and Meta widgets inside the Sidebar and not even the Text widget in Footer 1.

    I tried:
    – Deactivate all plugins
    – Change theme: I can delete the widgets! So the problem is the Neve theme
    – Enable accessible mode
    – With Gutemberg editor
    – Without Gutemberg (deactivated by the child theme via code)
    – Delete the widgets from the serialized array inside the wp_options table inside the “sidebar_widget” option
    – Enable debugging (see below)

    The debugging detected me, only once actually, this error:
    PHP ??Warning: Undefined array key 1 in /web/htdocs/…/wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-widgets-controller.php on line 711

    It’s as if the theme, programmatically, was continuously creating those widgets.

    Any suggestions?
