I have solved the page not found problem (by starting over) and loaded the sliders, but I still can’t figure out how to disable comments on every page.

Also is it possible to change the size of the slider box?

Hi, I would like to ask you to uncheck boxes (discussion and comment) at screen option too. I am new to WordPress and just I am studying about WordPress right now. I have a similar problem, I applied a static page for blog post, but the page does not shows the comments. I need to keep comment at blog page.

I also have looked at the screen options and found that discussion and comments are unchecked but still showing on all pages but the home page. How do I get those to stop?

    Hi @christinabarefoottrimmer

    1. Screen Options control what options are visible your admin screen, they don’t decide what will be displayed on the front end of your website. This is a really common misconception. Hope this clear things up a little. So to turn comments off you need to check the Discussion checkbox under Screen Options, then scroll down to below the Visual editor and un-check the Discussion options there.

    2. For anyone else reading, going to Settings > Permalinks and clicking save can solve a lot of 404 errors.

    3. To insert a slider at the top of your page, use the drop down menu in the right column when editing the page. Our full slider tutorial can be found here: https://siteorigin.com/vantage-documentation/getting-started/slider/
