Can’t disable Gzip Compression

I already enabled zlib.output_compression through my host, so I don’t need the plugin to enable compression. But it doesn’t let me to disable it. Every time I uncheck the “Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors. (Recommended)” box and press update it checks it again.
