• Changing the settings on the latest version does not work. Related Posts cannot be disabled no matter which free theme is enabled and they cannot be set to 0. By default, they look terrible since the featured images don’t adhere to the default margins.

    Is this deliberate to encourage users to pay for the plugin? If so, it’s back to the basic AMP plugin. Not against paying, but I was looking for an interim solution that doesn’t require having 3 plugins installed for the basic functionality over having 1 while I help clients build content worth putting on AMP.

    Hey @nickblazer,

    First of all thank you for choosing AMPforWP pluign.

    Secondly there was some bug in related posts as it was throwing an error when we activate it and which we fixed it in 0.9.97.13 so please update to the latest version and do let us know.

    But if you are on the latest version and still facing this issue, this is rather strange and might be some bug and have nothing to do with free or paid version.

    We never force our users to upgrade to pro and we constantly add more features and genuinely provide value for free plugin so it can help the end user.

    So can you please let me know if you are using the latest version and the issues still persist after the update?

    It’s at the 0.9.97.13 version on all 3 sites I tested this out on.

    Upon re-examination, it looks like it’s a CDN issue on my end – it didn’t update the changes for awhile last night – and now they’re updated and the related posts have been removed. This usually isn’t a problem for me, but I should have known better.

    That said, I have at least one possible bug to point out. If you run through the wizard at the very beginning and add in the Google Analytics tracking code, the settings then default to Google Tag Manager being active without anything filled in. It then has to be deactivated and Google Analytics selected, unless you want to configure GTM.

    Also, part of the reason why I disabled related posts isn’t because I don’t want related posts – it’s because the featured images don’t display cleanly like the rest of the post does with images when a phone is held vertical. There isn’t any margins on either side – it’s also that way on each post’s featured image, but contextually that makes sense. If I turn my phone horizontally, it’s a lot cleaner because the CSS breakpoints are different and it defaults to a 50/50 layout with image and text, if that makes sense.

    Thank you very much for explaining in detail, I’ll check the Setup wizard on a fresh WordPress installation and check the settings of Analytics and GTM.

    And will get back to you.

    Regarding the related posts not looking clean on the mobile device, can you please let me know on which phone you are testing and what is the screen resolution so we can improve the code of media query.

    @nickblazer

    I’ve run the test on our end and yes your concern is really valid, there is a Google Analytic issues while setting up Run Installation wizard.

    So to fix this issue we have created the ticket on Github and will solve the issue asap.

    And we are waiting for your reply on related post issues.

    I uninstalled the plugin but it is still running. How do I get rid of it. Images are not showing up but the title and old links are.
