Can't disable responsive full-width background slider

Hello, I am using a plugin to have a separate theme for the home page, where I have stripped out the navigation, etc. in the child theme. Everything is working fine, but I can’t disable the full-width background slider pluign. The plugin is by WPTreasure, and it appears the developer site is gone. I’ve tried other plugins, and they don’t work as well. There is a checkbox to disable the plugin from an individual page. I have checked it, but it still is not disabling the background. The client wants a static image on the home page. I have spent hours trying to figure this out. Any help would be really appreciated! Here is the link:
