can’t disable the social share counter

    Hi,
    I’ve unticked the option for both
    -Show share counts
    -Show total shares
    however they are still showing…

    how can i disable this?

    any ideas how to fix?

  • I can’t it disable too, so it’s not only you. Futhermore, fb “Share” counter shows the same amount as “Likes” counter.

    fingers crossed someone has the answer!!!

    and yeh – I’ve got that too (same number of likes / shares)… not so fussed about that as just hiding the counter though.

    Official Facebook like/recommend buttons always show shares, by design. The Show share counts and Show total shares options are for the round, square, rectangular share icons.
    Facebook counts the shares, likes and recommends together. We cannot do anything about it.
